St Augustine’s House

St Augustine’s is set in the grounds of The College. Full of character and charm, the building has been refurbished and was rededicated by the Archbishop of York in May 2013. It now houses six well appointed en-suite study bedrooms (four single and two doubles), two libraries and a comfortable meeting room.

Guests can make full use of the libraries and there is Wifi throughout the building. Each room has its own cable points for laptop computers.

St Augustine's House is set apart for clergy who want time to read and reflect, or simply for rest or retreat. It is also ideal for benefice planning meetings and other clergy conferences.

All bookings for St Augustine’s are dealt with by the Hospitality Department (01328 820239; email accom@olw-shrine.org.uk).

Small Groups

(10 - 13) can have the exclusive use of St. Anne's House. The large sitting room, the hall and the conservatory can be used for group meetings. Larger groups can be comfortably accommodated in Richeldis House. Breakfast, lunch and supper can be provided in the Refectory. A range of menus catering for vegetarian and special diets is always available. Morning coffee and afternoon tea can be provided in the meeting room(s).

In addition to St Anne's, the nearby Barn Chapel can be used for small-scale services or meetings. The Barn (a restored medieval barn close to St Anne's) is in a quiet location and is particularly suitable for reflective worship.

With large groups it may be possible to arrange for the use of the Norton Cafe-Bar (part of the refectory) or the Orangery which has permanently installed AV facilities (projector, screen and computer hook-up).
