National Express Coach:
There is a daily service from London, Victoria Coach Station to Cromer, which stops in Fakenham.

Coaches

Coaches should approach the Shrine along the signposted route (Fakenham B1105 - direction Wells-next-the-Sea; look out for a right turn signposted Walsingham 5 miles from Fakenham), arriving in the village on the Egmere Road, not coming up the High Street. The Coach Park is clearly signposted. Provision should be made for payment at the meter.

Coaches may unload at the Shrine Church itself, but not by the archway to the Shrine grounds, as the road is very narrow. Coaches should then turn and retrace their route up Knight Street and Guild Street to the coach park. Pilgrims staying at Richeldis House can unload by the pump at the top of Common Place. Please contact us for advice and information.

Car Parking

Car parking in the village is limited, but there is a public car park with an hourly or daily charge. Weekly or weekend discounted tickets can be bought at the Accommodation Office.

Public Transport

Travelling by public transport can be a challenge, but a very helpful number to ring is the Norfolk Bus Information Centre on 0870 608 2 608 or the Train Information hot line 08457 484950. The Norfolk County Council Passenger Transport Unit can be accessed online at http://www.passengertransport.norfolk.gov.uk/
