New Priest-in-Charge appointed to the Walsinghams, Houghton & Barshams Benefice

It was announced in 2018 that the Reverend Dr Harri Williams, Vicar of S. Katharine & S. Peter Milford Haven in the Diocese of St Davids since 2013, had been appointed as Priest-in-Charge of the Parish of Walsingham with Houghton and The Barshams. Fr Harri and his wife Clare are regular pilgrims to Walsingham.

At the time, the Priest Administrator, Fr Kevin Smith wrote: “The appointment of Fr Harri Williams as Parish Priest of Walsingham with Houghton and The Barshams is very good news indeed. I am very much looking forward to welcoming Fr Harri and Clare to Norfolk and to strengthening the already excellent relations between the Shrine and the Parish Church. Fr Harri has been an enthusiastic leader of pilgrimages to Walsingham from Milford Haven, most recently bringing a group to the Youth Pilgrimage. His pastoral gifts and experience will bring much to the role and I look forward to working with Fr Harri in the future.”

The installation and licensing of Fr Harri took place on Monday 3rd December. He was supported by a packed church of clergy and laity, both local and from Milford Haven.
