Shrine to live-stream Mass at 9am on Sundays, starting on 12th July 2020

6th July 2020 – The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham today announced that Mass will be live-streamed from the Holy House at 9am every Sunday, starting on 12th July 2020.  During the lockdown, many of the faithful have derived spiritual benefit from following Masses streamed over social media. Indeed the streaming of Mass celebrated at the Shrine Church on what would have been the day of the National Pilgrimage in May was an important digital initiative from the Shrine, reaching an online audience of over 20,000 people.

Many will now be able to return to church and worship in person which is a great blessing but, as a temporary measure for those still shielding, the Shrine will live-stream Mass at 9am every Sunday, from 12th July. This is in addition to the streaming of Shrine Prayers at 6pm each evening.

Mass on Sunday mornings can be viewed on our website and the service will also be live-streamed on YouTube,Vimeo as well as on Facebook.

Walsingham occupies a special place in the nation’s spiritual heart and we pray that this temporary initiative will bring some comfort in the period until we can all gather together once more at God’s altar.
