The Partnership Weekend, on Friday 16th – Sunday 18th February 2018, was attended by 145 Partners and guests.
The weekend began after Mass, Evening & Shrine Prayers and Supper with an illustrated talk by Dr Catherine Alexander, Honorary Fellow of the Shakespeare Institute on ‘Shakespeare and Religion’.
On Saturday morning the Partners were updated on the Shrine’s websites and given the opportunity to meet the Priest Administrator, watch a presentation on the Shrine Gardens 2004-18 and inspect the recently redecorated Shrine and Stations of the Cross. This included seeing the restored OLW cope and chasuble, the stripped High and Holy House altars and a new watercolour painting of the Shrine. During the afternoon some partners visited the “Saxon Shore” benefice of churches between Burnham Deepdale and Hunstanton.
Following the evening Pilgrimage Mass, the Partners enjoyed The Partnership Dinner with after dinner speaker – Father Trevor Jones, Former Rector of S. Peter, London Docks.
On Sunday, after Parish Mass at S. Mary’s & All Saints and lunch, the weekend concluded with Sprinkling, Benediction and Last Visit in the Shrine Church.
