Walsingham Festival at Coventry Cathedral

On Saturday 8th December 2018, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the BVM, a Regional Walsingham Festival was held at Coventry Cathedral at the invitation of the Bishop of Coventry.

Following the arrival of the OLW Image, the Eucharist was celebrated by The Rt Revd Philip North, Bishop of Burnley & Master of Guardians. The Preacher was The Rt Revd Dr Christopher Cocksworth, Bishop of Coventry.

After the Eucharist there was a break for lunch during which both Sprinkling with Walsingham Water from the Well and Confessions were available.

In the afternoon an address was given by His Grace the Most Revd Bernard Longley, The Archbishop of Birmingham, which was followed by The Liturgy of Healing (Laying on of Hands & Anointing) & Benediction.
