Shrine elects Dr Sonia Dore to the College of Guardians

27  November 2020 – The election of a new Guardian of the Holy House has today been announced by The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.

Sonia Dore lives in London but spent some of her childhood years in Nigeria. A regular pilgrim to Walsingham, Sonia is Churchwarden of S. Luke’s, Uxbridge Road. She has extensive professional experience as a psychologist and in various other roles including Senior Project Manager for Cancer Care with St George’s NHS Trust. Sonia’s professional background in medicine and psychology, her research and work in BAME issues and her passion for social justice will bring many relevant skills to the College of Guardians.

It is hoped that Sonia will be installed in the Shrine Church in April next year.
