A pilgrimage to Walsingham is a unique experience and one where we can set aside some time away from home to allow us to draw nearer to God and to receive his many blessings. All are welcome to England’s Nazareth and for those who will be making their first pilgrimage to Walsingham, they can be assured of a very warm reception.
Planning a Programme
The first matter to consider is when to come on pilgrimage. The full season runs from Easter until the end of October and a slightly modified pilgrimage programme is offered from February until Easter and throughout November.
Pilgrimage groups choose from either a midweek pilgrimage or a weekend pilgrimage. The full programme is offered on Tuesday and Wednesday, but you're welcome to stay longer, which adds more time to experience the peace and tranquillity. Weekend groups usually arrive on the Friday evening but it is possible to arrive on the Saturday and still take a full part in the weekend programme.
