2025 Children’s Pilgrimage

The 2025 Children’s Pilgrimage took place between Friday 7th and Sunday 9th of March. The theme was Creed All About It. We considered how the Nicene Creed came about, what it contained and its relevance for today during our worship. We also experienced Sprinkling, Benediction and a procession of Our Lady around the Shrine grounds.

Saturday morning we celebrated mass, and after a drink and a biscuit we had the chance to access Godly Play, a music session with the band, meet the Sisters at the Priory and some groups opted to walk the Holy Mile. On Saturday afternoon we enjoyed a variety of activities such as crafts, circus skills, hair braiding and a visit from some mini donkeys! There were also prayer spaces within the Shrine Church. The evening saw the return of the disco.

Bishop Luke joined us for some of the weekend, along with his family.
