Fr Bryan Parry
The Shrine has been saddened to hear news of the death of Fr Bryan Parry. He died peacefully aged 90 years.
Fr Parry retired to Walsingham 30 years ago following a distinguished ministry in Wales and the Diocese of Birmingham. He was an Honorary Canon of Birmingham Cathedral from 1987-1994. A faithful pilgrim, in retirement Fr Parry devoted himself and his formidable energy to assisting in the ministry of the Shrine and he served as Registrar of the Order of Our Lady of Walsingham of which he had been a member for many years.
Fr Parry’s body will be received into the Shrine Church at 5.00pm on Friday 22nd March, followed by the Office for the Dead, and will remain in the Holy House overnight. The Funeral Mass will be at S. Mary’s Parish Church, Little Walsingham on Saturday 23rd March at 3.00pm, followed by Committal in the Churchyard. The Mass will also be live-streamed and you will be able to join by clicking here
