Walsingham Village Hall Phoenix Project

At the end of January 2023, Walsingham Village Hall suffered a devastating fire and much of the structure of the building was damaged and needed to be demolished. The building was insured, but the insurance payout will be much lower than what’s needed to provide a good new community building that the village and local community of Walsingham deserve.

The Parish Council and Recreation Trust are confident that good will come out of the disaster, and that we will be able to rebuild a better and more attractive Village Hall. The plan is to have a slightly larger building which will use the space more effectively, will be more cost-effective to run, and provide a modern attractive venue to serve the community for.

The Village Hall is a fundamental part of the village and community here in Walsingham and is the Shrine’s dedicated charity for the year.
